Suspended in the vast silence of space, our planet glimmers - a fragile sphere of oceans and clouds, luminous against the dark. From the vantage of the moon, Earth does not appear immense, but delicate: a shimmering, blue-green jewel rising slowly over the barren horizon. Bluegreen Orb seeks to capture this vision in sound. The music unfolds in radiant textures and iridescent harmonies, a tapestry of light and colour that shimmers like sunlight on water. Expansive melodies drift upward, mirroring the steady ascent of the Earth into view, while luminous surges from the lower brass proclaim its splendour. Yet threaded through the radiance lies a sense of fragility, a reminder that such beauty is precious and impermanent. Both a hymn and a reflection, Bluegreen Orb invites us to look again at our shared home—brilliant, delicate, and suspended in wonder. A 5-6 minute long shimmering vision of the fragile life on our beautiful little space-marble which we call home, of moderate difficulty, scored for a standard British brass band.<br><br>The download includes a full score, a complete set of parts, a licence to perform the work, and to make non-commercial recordings.

A hilarious and totally unsubtle trombone section feature - an essential item for any Christmas fun concert. This piece has a duration of about 4 minutes of hectic, festive (and slightly inebriated?) fun for the whole band, although the trombone section will certainly steal the show! The download includes full score, a complete set of parts, a demo recording of the work, and a licence to perform the piece in concert, as well as make recordings for non-commercial use.

Deep beneath the roads and houses of West London, a sinister menace lurks: colossal fatbergs – huge congealed masses of domestic waste and oil, hard as concrete and oozing with menace. This piece of music is a subterranean journey through a landscape of twisting pipes, dripping water, scuttling rats and... emerging from the gloom... the vast and glistening monsters of the deep. The music builds to a triumphant, towering climax, before shuddering back into the darkness and slime. This work (for standard British brass band) was developed for Fulham Brass Band as part of the Adopt a Music Creator project, funded by the PRS Foundation and the Philip and Dorothy Green Music Trust, and run by Making Music, in partnership with Sound and Music.

Florence Anna Maunders - Within Reasonable Limits - Euphonium & Tuba Duet

This is a short (4+ mins), quirky & curious duet for euphonium & tuba.<br><br>This download includes a full score, program notes, parts for performers (including alternative transpositions for euphonium), complete in person/online/streaming performance rights & the right to record for non-commercial use.<br><br>This piece is based on the development of a small motive within reasonable limits – and the motivic material itself is constructed within the reasonable limit of a single whole-tone hexachord and its only transposition. The two instruments work initially together or as a solo line, then independently within each section. The 2nd & 4th sections explore calm mirroring, as if prowling around within a set cage or boundary, while in the central section, the two instruments explore flights of fancy with some exuberance, this energy is short-lived.
